Difference between 11+ and 13+ prep schools

Hi,
Im new to mumsnet. My 2 children have just been offered places at quainton hall prep in harrow. It is a school that goes up to the age of 13. I wanted to know if a prep school goes up to 13, does this mean that they do not prepare much for 11+ exams? What if I wanted to leave at year 7? Also, is it true that if senior schools do intakes at both 11+ and 13+, will they not accept my children at 11+ just because they attend a 13+ prep? Is there such thing? Im trying to get hold of the school, but its the holidays and was hoping I could get some insight here ( especially from those attending quainton hall). Thank you

I work in a school which goes to 13. We have to prepare to 11+ as so many schools now pre-test at 11 for 13+ places.

Seniors will prefer you stay to 13, but will accept at 11 if it's your choice. But they won't sell it to you if you are at a proper prep school, to avoid upsetting us and closing us down!
