School Choices Bromley - Highfield Infant School or Pickhurst Infant Academy

Good Morning All,

I posted a similar question to what I am about to post now but can find my post 😳😧 which is odd...... maybe looking in all the wrong places.

We are in the catchment area for both highfield and pickhurst but I need to know which is the better school. One is bigger than the other, so does this impact on the learning? Are the teachers good?

One of the schools will be my first choice but unsure at the moment. Any reviews, good or bad from parents of kids who are there now or who have been there in the past will be appreciated.

Also any opinions of Harris Primary Academy shortlands, Hayes Primary school, hawes down infant school, st marks primary school. Your opinions will help me make my choices. I have to select 6 schools!!

Honestly, I would go for whichever is easiest for you to get to every morning.

They are both good schools, I know people with DC who are very happy at both. Nobody can really give you an objective opinion of which is better because they'll only have experienced one and not the other, and the school you join in Reception may end up being very different by the time they get to Year 6.

My own DC are at St Mark's, which we are very happy with, despite it being our third choice originally. It has the massive benefit for us of being within easy walking distance with no big roads to cross. Lots of my DCs' friends live nearby. This is, really, more important at primary than marginal differences in results/school size.

Pickhurst is closer to me than highfield and my initial feeling about pickhurst we great. I will follow my pickhurst heart 😄
