So I have a 6 choices for a primary school place for my DD who will be going into reception just after she turns 4.

I have read a number of reviews about highfield infant school - which have all been good and have had mixed reviews about pickhurst infant academy. I am in the catchment area for both but undecided about which to put down as first choice.

I prefer the grounds and general feel of pickhurst as compared to highfield which is a lot smaller but which is better academically than pickhurst.

I need help to make a choice! 😫😫. Anyone whose kids are there now, have been there in the past, please your opinions.🙏🏼 Also any suggestions on 4 other very good schools would be appreciated.

Thank you

Heya!

Im so glad ive seen this as im in the exact same situation as yourself. My daughters due to start school sep 2018, and im due to go and have a look at schools over the next couple of months.

Our closest is highfield and then 2nd in distance is pickhurst, not by far though.

Although i havnt been to see them yet pickhurst does seem more welcoming but ive done some research and highfield is sposed to have brilliant results. I have also read goods and bad things about pickhurst, im so confused!

Other schools we are in the accatchment for is the new langley primary, oak lodge and st marks. I live near the west morland road tescos.

Hi, I’m in that situation now. So what did you choose and did you get your first choice? Are you happy with the school?
