Assessment scores

We have scores for the GL Progress in English / Maths 9.

DS has scored 140 in one test but anything I can find online shows the scores only going up to 120 so I'm a bit confused.

Average is 100.

Many standardised scores have a range from 70-140. A quick google says GL goes up to 140. The tests take into account age to get a standardised ranking.

This isn't just about GL but explains a range of standardised test assessments.

Why not just ask the teacher? If the average is 100 and you score 140, it normally means you are extraordinary.

I'm in NI and schools broke up today so no chance to ask the teacher.

GL scores go from 69-141.

140 is an excellent score! Well done to your DS!

Has your DS competed a CAT4 assessment too? These can be useful assessment comparisons too.
