Woodside Junior School, Amersham

Hi all, we're moving to Amersham in August. I just want to check if there are any mums out here whose kids go to the Woodside Junior school? If so how do you find the school? ? Any feedback will be much appreciated...

My DD is in year 3 in woodside and she is really enjoying the school and doing good.

So far no issues and they do give home works including weekly maths tests,spelling tests.

I assume you have applied for a pkace and been in touch with LA regarding allocation of places? Amersham schools are nearly always full and if you have not moved, are you sure you are going to get into this school?

You had a thread about a year ago about this, so have you got the place now?

We'll be applying next week, just waiting for a rental agreement for supporting documents. I've checked the school places on the Bucks council webpage..looks like we won't be getting our preferred School the first time, just hoping we get in eventually. I can't get in contact with the LA? They advise to visit the website for any school admission related enquiries...
