Manor prep, Abingdon

Hi all,

I am considering moving my daughter at the end of her reception year, to the Manor Prep in Abingdon, from her state primary.

I am a bit nervous about it, because she has good friends at her current school (some of whom she has known since she was tiny.) But I'm worried that she is getting lost in the middle of a big class, as she's well behaved and middling ability wise.

Also, the Manor is about to have a new head, and go fully coed in a few years time. So, does anyone have any up to date experience of the Manor? And does anyone have experience of moving a child at the end of reception year? Basically I am concerned whether I should be disrupting her now, or waiting a few years??

Thank you,
Tink

No personal experience, but I have two friends who have/have had kids there and made very positive noises. Excellent academic reputation, good facilities. It is rather in the middle of nowhere, but if you can cope with that, great!
