What level are the Twinkl three star ks2 worksheets?

Hello teachers (and other informed people)

DS is in year 3 and has had a Twinkl reading comprehension about Ramadan this weekend. He has had the three star one to do and found bits of it really difficult, so I was wondering what that means in terms of year 3 - is he supposed to find it difficult i.e. it's stretching? I'm guessing so as it's three stars but can't find any info on the Twinkl website. DS is generally doing pretty well in literacy, as I understand it, but this seemed very complicated to my uninformed eyes and I am a bit worried that if it's fairly standard for this stage in year three he may be struggling.

The 3 star is the most difficult option and usually for the more able at reading comps. I looked at that one for my Y 3 and thought perhaps a more Y5 option. I thought the questions were slightly oddly composed on the the three stars, almost as though they don't tally with what you are meant to read. I digress - 3 stars for upper ks2.

3 stars doesn't necessary mean upper ks2, it just means that it's the hardest version of that particular task that they have.

Eyeore, when you say your yr 3, do you mean a class of yr 3 or your DC?

Yes it's a class of Y3.
