Have received some (unendorsed) information from dd's school about "The Tutorial Support Service" and just wondered if any MNers have experience they could share about this scheme/company? Thanks

we got these last year - we just ignored it, when we need a tutor (11+ here) I'll do it via personal recommendations.

Ditto, just ignored it.

I was surprised at the time because it looked like the school were admitting that the children needed tutoring.

Empty promisses. It was not what i expected, and they would not allow me to cancel the agreement two days after receving the merchandise. After numerous fone calls, I still could not go pass the receptionist. The manager was always at a meeting, and never had the decency to returned any of my calls. To my Experience, any bussiness that do not allow customers a time frame (not even a day) to trial their products are Scams. You don't sign over £1000 agreement with a compagny and not have an option to cancel it after two days. They passed on your details to a financial company who chasse you up for the full payment.
