In praise of small schools...

The secretary of ds's small rural primary phoned me at work this p.m. to advise that ds was complaining of sore "bits". She wanted to make me aware so I could arrange to get a prescription today.
I am really touched at the concern - and although sometimes I feel the size of the school building restricts activities, this kind of thing more than makes up for it!

small schools can be GREAT

Yep - I get fed up that the kids are squashed in like sardines - and they can't do stuff like PE on site - but this kind of personal thing is fantastic! THey also took dd (4) into P1 today so my dh and I could chat to the head in peace. Don't know that a large school would be so accomodating.

Yep my DD goes to a small school too and we love it - only 42 of them in the whole school - they had Ofsted in today and I am so hoping they get a good report.
