Hiltingbury or Otterbourne Primary School?

Hello

We moved to Hiltingbury 3 weeks ago from Milton Keynes. My daughter starts Reception in September this year. Hiltingbury Primary don't have any space for her but she is 3rd on the waitlist and we have an appeal hearing date as there have been a number of issues with changing authorities. She has been allocated a place at Otterbourne, which I know is also an outstanding school.

We are keen on Hiltingbury infants because she has started a preschool where she is busy making friends, lots if which who are going to Hiltingbury, we can also walk to the school being 0.4 miles away, it is an excellent school. However, there are 3 classes of 30 whereas at Otterbourne there are 2 classes of 23 for Reception. We have to drive to Otterbourne, it has a new Head Teacher who is due to start and I am concerned about her younger sister getting a place in a couple of year's time as it is always oversubscribed.

I don't know enough about either school to help decide whether we continue with the Hiltingbury appeal or continue with the place she has at Otterbourne given that it is a great school with smaller classes for Reception.

Any views or insight would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!!
