American School in London

We are in the process of moving our family from the U.S. to London. Given the timing, we are late in applying for schools. We made our application to ASL at the end of May and visited the school last week. We have not heard back yet. Does anyone else have experience with late applications or know more about the wait list at the school? We know there is demand for ASL but how long does it take to be removed from the wait list if that is what happens?

So we just received word that both kids have been added to the wait pool.

This time last year my kid was also wait pooled at ASL. We looked at Southbank, The Dwight School and ACS Hillingdon.
We never got off the wait pool.
They rolled our application to the next school year but we didn't re apply as my kid was settled at new school. I suggest making a plan B.

Thank you user1471433932 for your reply. We have also applied to Southbank and ACS Hillingdon. We are also wait listed at Southbank and are awaiting a decision from ACS. May I ask which school you chose and why? It seems your child is happy at the school. If we received admission to Southbank it will be to the Hampstead campus which they did not let us tour. I have no visual perspective of that campus. We only saw the Kensington campus and found it small. Not sure what grade your child is in but we are looking at grade 4.
