Best Primary Schools Near the UofG

Hello all,

I'm moving to Glasgow from the USA with my 9-, 5-, and 3-year-old, and wanted to ask for recommendations about (non-private) primary schools near the UofG besides Hillhead. We need to pick a catchment area in which to rent, but we don't know much about the other primary schools near the University. We'll be in town for only one year, but we'd like our children to have the best school experience possible!

Are you looking for a denominational school ( Roman Catholic ) or non denominational ?

Non-denominational, preferably.

You'd probably get a better response in the Scotsnet topic.

You've asked other than Hillhead: Broomhill also has a decent reputation but is currently being rebuilt so is decanted elsewhere into temporary accommodation. Not sure when the new building is due to be ready.

I'm on the Southside, so don't really know much about the Northside schools.
