We have looked around Brooke Priory, Copthill and Witham Hall. Looking to move into year 2.
Does anyone have any comments / advice? Particularly about Witham Hall?
Loved the country feel of copthill, loved the smartness and aspiration of Witham Hall - but is it snooty? Or does it churn out decent children?
We are fairly middle class but down to earth, with a strong sense of fun and community and definitely not snooty! The fit with us feels better at Copthill. But we loved the opportunities at WH.
Really liked head at BP. We are moving and a bit nervous to get it right because our 5 yr old will really be in need of nice friends. He's slightly quiet. And needs time given to him to bring him out of himself
Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Don't know so much about those particular schools I'm afraid, but I can recommend the Peterborough School if you don't mind a bit of a drive. Very friendly, small classes and lots of opportunities, but unpretentious. And your DS could stay there all the way through to Sixth Form if he wanted.

Hi biscuitsneeded. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll show it to my my husband. It is a bit far .... Our 5 yo seems to get worn out by school.
Is it good academically? - had a quick look at mumsnet reviews and they seem quite mixed. Thanks

I used to teach at a previous school with the Headmaster and his wife of Witham Hall. Can't comment on the school, but they were both lovely people and very down to earth, not at all snooty! Aspirational, knowledgeable and passionate teachers. If they have injected their enthusiasm and into Witham I am sure it is a lovely place.
