parents evening - bullying?

We have our second parents evening today. DS(5) is in reception.
He's been having a bit of trouble with another boy - he laughs at DS when he doesn't finish his work, he steals the football when they play, breaks other children's model, etc, etc
It's nothing major (I think) and it seems that he picks on someone different every day.

Would you mention it to the teachers?

I would only mention what has affected my child, not the general poor behaviour of this boy. I am sure the teacher will know what the challenge is! It depends how much this behaviour impinges on your child's learning or whether it is just annoying him. These children are only 5 so I would expect to see improvement next term. Also I have no doubt other children will start avoiding him if he continues like this. He may also have SEN so tread carefully.

Yes, of course you can mention it to teacher that your ds is having a trouble. But that doesn't mean other boy is a bully.
Maybe the boy is just to immature. Maybe he has sen. Don't know.

No reason for your ds to suffer, so very reasonable to mention it to teacher about it. But please just don't write the other boy off as bully. Not just yet.

I know I should not write him off as bully, but he does sound quite mean and lacking empathy. But, yes, I know what you mean

It is worth mentioning as it's affecting your son. It can also lead to more help for the other child.
