Book day help

I've picked up a army dessert costume today thinking ds could wear it as solider from toy story but it's a sandy coloured dessert uniform rather than a green one. Any ideas of a book I could link it too?

I think DS had that one at some point, it's from the front of the Horrible Histories WW1 book - that's the one he had anyway.

There's one of the My Stories: Desert Danger.
He's a minesweeper in El Alamein.

It's not very child friendly - but The English Patient.

Or add a pith helmet and have some sort of Mr Benn/ literary safari theme.

I really wouldn't worry too much about accuracy as really, honestly no-one will really be critiquing his costume for accuracy and if they did the first thing the would say is Toy Story is a film not a book

Please do not fret about the hell that is stupid World Book Day dressing up. Really. It is a made up thing that benefits the makers of cheap, nylon dressing up costumes. As long as your DS is happy then everyone else can go stuff themselves
