Ok this is the day that most parents in 11+ areas have been dreading. How to get through the day, not whether dd does or doesn't get selective, but fending of smug parents at the school gate and teary kids coz they just realised that they'll probably never see their best friends again. 1hr 30mins til the post arrrives. Good luck one and all.

Gosh the stress of applying for schools in England! This is one of the reasons we moved to Belgium.

Good luck princesscc and your dd!

Kbear · 02/03/2007 07:20

Give DD a poke in the eye from us!

foxtrot · 02/03/2007 07:20

Fingers crossed for you all (waiting here for DS2's primary letter, but it should be ok, his brother is already there and we live round the corner) Who knows what the system will be when we do secondary transfers?

Kbear · 02/03/2007 07:20

that's good luck by the way, not child abuse!

princesscc · 02/03/2007 09:47

Come on then - who's happy, who's fed up and who's devastated? I've gotta wait to open with dd after school!

Bless his heart - my postman didn't make it before school, but when I met him on the way back, he said 'I cycled my little heart out to get to you!'

I've told dd that I'm going to open the letter. I said to her "sorry love, but I really can't wait any longer."

princesscc · 02/03/2007 10:09

I've heard from 4 mums that their kids have passed. Everytime one more passes, the law of averages says that it won't be us! We usually get about 10 - 15 passes.
