My DS is 8 years old and loves reading. please may I ask you if there is a Book club for children? For example, where they choose, discuss etc the book they read? If not a club, are there any other ideas where my son coudl discuss the jbooks he read with other children etc? thank you

I know a couple of different boroughs/counties do Chatterbooks groups at libraries so might be worth a google.

I set up one with a friend here though :)

I don't know any, but my ds(9) seems to talk about books with his mates and exchange info and good books to read etc.

Why don't you encourage your ds to try to start book club at his school if he is keen?

There's a kids book club at our library, for ages 8-12.

Dd1 was also part of a book group at junior school, but the teachers chose the books, then the kids discussed it once they'd read it. The secondary schools all have book clubs at lunchtimes too.
