I was wondering if there are any Reception teachers out there who could tell me about what the recommneded way of assessing reading is in reception? I know teachers time is tight and that guided reading is often the only realistic way of hearing individuals read, but how often would this take place? Also if only using parents to hear reading/change books, again how often should this take place? Thanks in advance
