Hi, we are moving from outside London this September, and quite liked the look of the school. Any recent reviews from parents? Any information will help!

We would absolutely love any info on the school as well.

Positives seem to include that the school in improving academically.

Negatives I've heard include bigger class sizes and mixed reviews on the headteacher. Any thoughts?

Ours in reception. Just got the offer yesterday and trying to make a decision by next week.

It seems many are just being polite by not replying. DH is not too bad. Some children do well at 7+ and 11+ exits.

For what it's worth we spoke to a lot of parents who had really positive things to say about the school. We ended up turning down the offer but at least those I spoke to were really really happy with their choice.

Thank you all. ChirpyHamster have you had personal experience with the school? Most of the parents I spoke to also seemed reasonably happy.

My views draw from conversations with other parents whose children were in Nursery at Devonshire. I have visited the school at their Open Days. The school appears to be well run, and the children are sparky. Their academic rigour is impressive. It may not compare highly on ICT or sports facilities. Many children regularly leave at 4+, 7+ elsewhere. It's a fine school to get a foothold in N London.

I saw the school and liked it. My husband liked it more than I did.

The son of my old boss goes there and they are very happy with it.

Hi

Just thought I'd update for the sake of anyone looking for a school. We ended up selecting Devonshire House, and our very happy with the education as well as the mix of students. The sports facilities aren't the greatest, but overall the school is welcoming and seems to really care for its' students
