Does anyone have any experience of this school? What's it like? Do they prepare well for the 11+. Dd has been offered a place starting in reception. Would be grateful for your thoughts.

A fantastic school. Both daughters attended. One still there, the other moved to NLCS this year for year7.

Fabulous to hear alexw.... do you know how it compares to manor lodge?

Homely1 · 20/01/2017 21:37

Ps if you don't mind me asking, did you also tutor?

St Hilda's provides children with a very nurturing environment. In terms of 11+ preparation you need to prepare your child especially if you are aiming for very academic secondary schools.

mummsy1356 · 31/01/2017 14:13

Furthermore, if you are intending to send your child to NLCS or Habs you need to do extra work as what the school does is not enough for securing a place at the above mentioned schools.

Mummsy1356 and alexw thanks so much for your thoughts.

Hi DaisyinthePark. My daughter started reception at St Hilda's last September and is very happy there. As with any prep school, I do think that work is required at home to get them into academic secondary schools.
