Can anyone (maybe a teacher?) shed some light on how reading comprehension cards are best used? DD1 says she has to work her way through all the boxes (different colours) and each set of colours within each box. She's a bit fed up, though apparently she has a couple of times been allowed to skip a few colours in a box when she's been whizzing through them accurately.
I know that it's not good practice in reading to have to read every book in a given bookband, is that the same for comprehension schemes or is there value in working your way through systematically?
