Hello. Does anyone have children in the Europa School - primary section. DC's are FR/ENG. English is their main language though as they are currently in normal state school.

How have you found the Europa school. (I am aware of the transition from European School).

Thanks.

French schools aren't geared up very well for SEN - I imagine there may be some cross over and may be teething problems with being a new school. Which language stream was she in? I am sorry to hear that your friend didn't have a good experience.

I have a friend whose child is there - so far so good! One downside (arguably) is because everyone comes from different towns/villages, it makes play dates trickier - but that is the same with Indy schools I guess, plus lots of after school socialising is not everyone's cup of tea anyway!

The term times are different to state schools in the area. Plus and minus points for that too though!

I think it's pretty oversubscribed and then you can't choose the stream (French, German, Spanish) that your child gets allocated to if they do manage to get in so it is a bit of a lottery. My friend's child didn't get their chosen language which was daunting for her as they have no experience of the language they were allocated, however in the end they did get into the language they wanted.

As far as I know the teaching is very good.

Hope that helps a bit! X
