Good app for times tables

Can anyone recommend one? My daughter is trying to learn them at the moment. We go through them together but I'd like something else to support us.

She extremely weak in maths and way behind her peers, so something encouraging and easy to reinforce is what I am after not something challenging. Thanks.

Thank-you. We are making progress slowly. I am very grateful.

Could she just count in twos then in threes etc. At least up to 5. Instead of remembering the whole preamble. Then when she needs say 6 fours she can just count in 4s on her fingers. I'm teach learning support and l found that's the only thing that works.
I also use hit the button.

I've just discovered hit the button, my Ds is year 4 and really struggling. It is helping tremendously. It's also used in the classroom.

That's actually very good news! Khan is such a great site, should be used by many many more people!

We start out that way with each table June but we have to move on because when she does division the times tables are less useful to her. We are only just getting to the whole thing but slowly slowly we are improving.

I'll definitely check out hit the button.

Just do it in reverse so 24 divide my 4. Just hold up fingers, count in 4s and see what finger you land on. Some children find tables impossible.

margaritasbythesea You're very welcome!

I keep a 'library' of various items I hope may be of use to parents and children, from my twenty years working in schools, that I call up when relevant.
