Just wanted to ask some questions. How often do you get a newsletter from your school? How long is it and do you read it all? The one from my DC's school was 11 pages this week!

I'm fascinated as to what is on a newsletter that is 8 or 11 pages long Shock. At my dcs Primary school they did a LOT of sport that was reported in the newsletter but it was only ever 2 sides, and, like the first reply, done in sections so you could skip that if not interested.

I was going to say a couple every half term, more or less but I've just gone back and checked and there were 3 in September, 2 in October and 3 in November so it's a lot more frequent than I remember. They are rarely more than one a4 and it's mostly calendar updates or upcoming special days at school.

This last one has messages about Christmas jumper day, Children in Need money raised, Christmas lunch booking, a reminder to check last dates for after school clubs this term and a nativity play ticket order form.

I wouldn't read an eight page newsletter. I need short bullet points with pertinent dates in bold or red.
