Healthy Tuck Shop: how fab is this!

Our primary school is in a deprived area, and has always been great on healthy eating: free fruit for KS1 for the past 4 years, free/subsidised milk, etc. KS2 children allowed to bring in fruit for breaktime, but not chocolate/sweets, etc.

This year they've started running a 'healthy tuckshop' at morning break selling primarily a range of fruit: 20p each, sometimes 2 for 20p if small. It is run by the yr6 children.

The children love it

my son's school has had a tuckshop for some time. In their tuckshop they sell healthy things, but things like toast, crumpets, teacakes, milk. They also have fruit in the class rooms that they can have a breaktime.
