Handwriting practice resources

Can anyone recommend any good resources for practising handwriting? Books or sheets I can print out. I have (twins) a left handed and a right hander in year 2. Key stage 1. Leftie still needs to practice letter formation. Righties on the cusp of joining together.

Thanks in advance

My advice would be to avoid handwriting books that require the child to trace letter shapes and focus on teaching correct series of movements using handwriting lines.

Any methods recommended for doing the correct series of movements

I'm afraid the best way is sitting with the child and stopping them if they start at the bottom or anti- clockwise etc after that it's reinforcement.

Magic Link Handwriting courses are fantastic.

Handwriting without Tears is a brilliant course if you can find anywhere offering it near you.

Leap frog scribbler is good. It's electronic and let's them follow the dots or free write the letters and tells them if they've done it right or wrong - it's about £15

Dd's school are recommending letter join and have a school subscription for it. You can either print the sheets out or do it on a tablet.
Since her writing is currently utterly illegible & worse than pre-cursive not sure how effective it is but I'm starting to see development in high frequency words becoming clearer so maybe it is working slowly

We recommend an intensive handwriting scheme which we do in school. The downside of it is that children aren't allowed to write for the duration of the scheme (approx two weeks) except in the sessions because it breaks bad habits. It is intensive and time consuming but worth it if you have the time maybe in the holidays when children don't have to write? If you want I'm sure I can scan it and send it over.
