Can you recommend a website where I can see what my year 4 and year 6 children will be learning this year? Preferably something broken down by weeks - although I am not sure if the curriculm is followed exactly the same by all teachers?

I want to help my children as much as possible but cant afford tutoring so thought id plan some work at home which matches what they are doing in school.

Yr 4 teacher here! Best thing would be to speak to class teacher and ask for an outline of the curriculum. They should be able to give you an overview plan of the topics covered each term. They might not teach them in order that would be shown on a website.

It shouldn't be hard to give you a print out of it. I'm always more than happy to supply my parents with a schedule. Hope this helps!

So much variation its best to ask the school.

www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/425601/PRIMARY_national_curriculum.pdf

This gives you an overview of what each year should be covering. However, the order in which things are done will differ so nothing online will tell you week by week for your school, so you will need to ask them for more detail.
