DD has just started year 6 and I would like to buy some support books at her request as all her friends are doing stuff at home - any recommendations?

Are they preparing for 11+/private school entrance exams? Seems odd to be doing stuff at home otherwise!!

My Y6 DD is glued to sumdog at the moment, if your DD has a school login. Games on there seem really good!! Otherwise if you're not preparing for anything in particular, just reading or encouraging her to write ..

No not preparing for private but it's a comprehensive with pretty pushy families and most of her friends have private tutors or are doing stuff so she has asked.

I'm keen too as her secondary school takes half their intake from this school alone and they set for year 7 based only on year 6 sats.
