I'm just being nosey really. I'ms sure they're secret teachers code that I'm not meant to know about.

We got a scrap book with all of DS's reception 'work' and by the tick and comment there is a little code in a circle eg LP, I, TL, S/S.

anyone know?
Thanks

Lp literacy practice??

roundtable · 18/08/2016 13:36

I=independent
TL = teacher led

Not sure about the other ones but the school should have their marking policy up on the wall or ask at next parents evening/in September. It shouldn't be a secret.

olafisking · 18/08/2016 13:36

It's probably indicating the type of skill he demonstrates eg mark making, physical, literacy, numeracy etc but obviously those don't match the codes! Can you ask the school? (when they're back!)

Sukistjames · 18/08/2016 13:36

I - independent
TL - teacher led
Not sure about the others. Not ones I've used in school before.

YorkieDorkie · 18/08/2016 13:38

S/S semi supported maybe? Some support?

plimsolls · 18/08/2016 13:39

Could also be the teacher/teaching assistant/learning support assistant's initials as well? To show who was either working with him or who was marking the book.

YorkieDorkie · 18/08/2016 13:39

We write TP for team point... Are your DC's called anything else? Learning point - LP?

ilovetosleep · 18/08/2016 13:46

It's not teachers initials but they others make sense, thanks! I'll ask next term, just curious now as I go through this scrapbook (for the fiftieth time - so cute...)

thanks again

S/s - self-selected
L/p - learning partner

LemonRedwood · 23/08/2016 21:56

Learning Partner, Independent, Teacher Led, Self Selected

Or why not just ask the teacher. It's rarely top secret!

LemonRedwood · 23/08/2016 21:57

Sorry, just read you'll ask next term Blush

jamdonut · 25/08/2016 00:06

I = independent
S= supported
G = group
That's at our school...there is a marking policy. As far as I'm aware, most schools have them. Like all policies, you should be able to ask for it.

ilovetosleep · 28/08/2016 20:30

What does Learning partner mean? TA?
