Anyone know which area is best for a young family in Amsterdam? Also which area would be closest to the better dutch schools in the city?

Hey - you might want to post this question in living abroad. There are more likely to be people with specific knowledge there.

There's a Facebook group called Amsterdam mamas - which has an education offshoot - if you are moving to NL it's a very good start. And yes try Living Overseas section.

I'm Utrecht way so no help.
