DS1 is 8, he will be 9 in March. He is currently in Primary 4,due to go into Primary 5 after the summer hols. There is a possibilty of us moving to England at some point in the next few months. I thought DS1 would go into year 5 in September, but my friend told me he would go into year 6. Can anyone advise me what year he will go in please,

Year 6 is the academic year they become aged 11. So if your ds is not 10 until next March then he will go into Year 5.

Ok, thank you. I know they go to secondary school a year younger than they do in Scoltnad, and i had visions of him going to secondary at the age of 10!
