What info sent to Secondary from Primary?

Just wondering if more than SATs sent to secondary school from year 6.
Teacher assessment and year 6 school report?
Other records?
Does a file go for every child to new school.
Hope more than SATs go over so Secondary have an introduction to child from Primary school.

Yes, a file usually goes up with each child - previous reports etc. If there is SEN or there have been any safeguarding concerns or incidents along the way then those records go up too. And usually there is some transition crossover - so the Primary teachers and someone delegated from the Secondary will meet and discuss the pupils.

All pupils have a URN and all results and info are uploaded automatically on that. Including results from baseline, KS1 and 2 etc as well as FSM entitlement. Most schools do a transition visit too and pick the current teachers' brains and ask for about safeguarding issues particularly.

Safeguarding file goes under separate cover and marked confidential and for the attention of the designated safeguarding lead. As does my file if I've been working with the family (home school link worker).

Heads of Year 7 have come to meet our Year 6s and staff at our school. Additionally our Senco and I have also met with our secondary counterparts to share important information specific to vulnerable children and those with SN. We are very thorough!

I find that very reassuring...
My ds all over emotional and tearful last couple of days.
So intense the last week or so of year 6.
Just hit him that he is actually leaving/ has left primary today.
Covered in marker pen as they have been signing each others shirts!
