Hampstead schools/area...St Mary's?

Hello all!

So far we have 2 spots available for our daughters at St Mary's School in Hamptead. We are coming from the States and don't know the area that well.

Does anyone know much about this school? Is it well thought of? Academics good? We are Protestant, not Catholic. How is it compared to other Catholic Schools? ... Very Catholic or not as much?

How is the community? Is it a friendly area?

Hi Arty. Did you end up taking the two spots for your daughters????

I am asking as I am considering sending my 7yr old to St Marys. I really liked what I saw at the two occasions I visited; the new head makes a very good impression, she is warm, welcoming, seemed surprisingly well-informed about my child's documentation at a meeting after I sent everything in just 2days before. So all positive. General feedback in the Hampstead area also is quite favourable (and that is saying a lot!) with no negative comments to be heard.
