Hand writing style

Do you think it's possible to change hand writing(cursive) style in YR3?

My ds is a painfully slow writer. And I realised that his handwriting is very artistic and beautiful. But I think it's stopping him to write faster.
Recent chat with class teacher confirmed this, his writing is beautiful but too slow.
I have a complete different style of hand writing, and I can write pretty fast while writing nice and neat. (And I realised that the YR2 teacher and YR3 teacher uses same style as mine.) I am tempted to teach him my style.
Do you think it's a bad idea?

I think you need to ask his teacher. We have a school handwriting style which is used in every class

I looked for handwriting policy on the school website, but there isn't any. And All the teacher seems to use different hand writing.
They have been giving children handwriting sheet, but only if they want to.
I was wondering if it's a good idea to change now, if the teacher agrees.

I have been doing things you suggested (re : shoulder gurdle), but he just put so much energy into forming the letters in perfect shape and size,etc., (which is good) but not efficiency of writing it self.
Do you have any good suggestion to improve speed? or just need lots of practice?

If his handwriting is good I wouldn't necessarily change as he will become faster as he becomes more fluent (stops thinking about what he is doing and forms letters automatically).

I trust you 100 %. Actually the teacher commented improvement on quality of his handwriting since we started things you suggested.
Maybe I should be patient.
