First impression of reception class teacher ?

After leaving preschool which had some lovely, lovely workers I can't help but admit I'm underwhelmed at my dd reception class teacher. She seems very cold towards parents and children and didn't even notice when my dp picked up dd. bear in mind she's never once met him and let her run straight out the door past her to get to him Angry anyone else had this issue?

I'd be concerned about the safety issue. However, one of my sons had a YR teacher who seemed very cold to me. He LOVED her.

Yes I will discuss the safety when I have a chat with her next Thursday. I'm hoping its just first day nerves and the children will warm to her and her to them. Just don't want the first year of school to be a bad start
