Copy of KS1 SATS papers

Just out of curiosity is it possible to get copies of the actual SATS papers that KS1 kids took this year?

Would I be able to get the tests that DS sat to see how he did? (i'm not really interested in the results, more how he coped with the format/understandings etc). I understand that KS1 papers are marked on site yes and not sent off.

Thanks

You may well be able to get the teacher to show you his papers but, from what I read, they will be unlikely to let you take them offsite/have a copy. Too many parents would use that for unconstructive reasons.

I think there was a thread about it, and in the end, the op managed to get a copy of her dc's test, after emailing ht and everything?
I think she was first offered to have a look in school, but insisted she had a copy or take it home? Can't remember.
I don't think it's a big deal to ask to see actual paper inside school.

Thanks mrz. That's interesting to see.

I think the problem of asking to get a copy of your dc's paper is:

a) too time consuming to copy whole booklet
b) too expensive to copy whole booklet

in case all the parents wanted a copy as well.

Thanks everyone

Thanks for the links mrz I'll print off and have a look through.

I have an end of year meeting with teacher anyway so will probably just discuss the results (and try to understand as I know everything has changed). I've requested to have his papers at the meeting so i can take a look but no great shakes if not.
