Is it compulsory for all children to sit the Year 6 SATS tests?? What does this mean?? We may possibly be relocationg abroad for 2yrs and needed to know if we can go before my child sits these exams next year or whether its best for her to do the tests and go after... Can anyone shed any light on this ....
Thanks

The tests are statutory for all pupils in state maintained schools who are working at a standard that allows them to access the content

I would go when it best suits you to go.

It will make no difference to the allocation of a secondary place on your return, if your child has sat them or not.
