William Patten, Grasmere or other Stoke Newintnton school?

Do any of you have children at William Patten or Grasmere Primary schools in Stoke Newington?

We want to move back to Stokey before our eldest is due to start primary schools and as we will be renting initially we have the 'luxury' of trying to find a flat in (super close!) proximity to whatever school we are hoping to get him into.

From looking online I think I prefer the sound of William Patten, but also like Grasmere.

I like that they have no/ optional school uniform, and it sounds like WP encourage children to express themselves via art and music (big plus for us!), whereas Grasmere might be sliiightly more focuses on academics?

Any insight on any of these schools? Likes/ dislikes or even suggestions of other schools to look at greatly appreciated!

Thank you :)

Urgh! Title should say Stoke Newington obviously. I can't figure out how to change it now though!

If you search mumsnet for William patten thread from 2014 comes up. Hope that helps. Anyway the schools you mention are extremely sought after.

I don't think you'll have the luxury of choice, TBH.

Grasmere is one-form entry. Its catchment is tiny

WP, Betty Layward and Grazebrook are all good schools which are over-subscribed.

Stoke newington secondary only has 'catchment' of 250 metres or so for brightest children so that might be something to think about (hackney streams children before allocating secondary places)
