Hi All,

Could anyone suggest me a tutor for English and Maths for my 7 years old son. He is in year 2 and need someone to work with him and prepare him for SATs??? Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

if you're talking about the year 2 SATS you don't need a tutor. if he's not doing well let the school find out and let them sort it. don't do their work for them.

by year 4/5 if he is struggling then fine, get a tutor but not at year 2.

Thank you very much! He have some issues with concentration - as teacher said "gets easily distracted" which is effecting him in not giving the best therefore I thought that if he works extra he might understand the habit and focus more. In terms of learning he is average but can do more!

if he struggles to focus, but remember he is only 6/7 so this is normal, i would try him on an instrument, chess, karate, dance class? - they are all great for demanding focus, better than "more work".
