Cheshire primary schools

Hello
We are moving to Cheshire later this year. I've had a look at a few schools in the area already. I quite like bowdon girls school, Wilmslow prep and ladybarn house school. Has anyone got any experiences with the above schools. Are they good?! I've also heard the ryleys is another option?

Those schools are not close together so where are you thinking of living? It also depends what you anticipate for secondary schools. I also wouldn't discount the state primary schools in the area (particularly in Trafford).

Thanks for that. We haven't decided where to live yet. Depends on the school!! Do you know anything about any of those schools?

Have you thought about moving further out? Queen's School in Chester is one of the best in the area and has a fantastic lower and senior school. We're only in the lower school at the moment, but can't fault it.

Blimey op Cheshire is a huge county with literally tons of brilliant schools. If you want to pay then you can probably choose your area and then a decent prep. Ladybarn House is one people rave about but it depends if you want to live within a few miles of it - mist people live within 1-3 miles

Thanks happymummy007 but I will be working in south Manchester otherwise that would have been a good option.

If you are working in SManc you may as well look round areas you like and think about selective secondaries you would want, assuming this is your chosen route? There are loads of really great state primaries though too... There have been loads of threads comparing the preps in the area. Look at Moor Allerton and S Bedes also as well as MGS, Manc High, Withington Girls etc - loads of options
