Hi. I would be very grateful if anybody could provide examples of the types of questions in level 8. Thanks.

No the CLIC tests are for primary aged pupils (step 8 roughly 7/8 year olds)

user789653241 · 06/03/2016 10:02

kreme, do you have them on level 6 & 7 ? (Not the CLIC, actual maths level 6 and 7)

mrz · 06/03/2016 10:49

www.pgfl.org.uk/schools/tf/Greenhill/cs/maths/Documents/9X1%20and%209Y1.pdf disclaimer the content doesn't reflect current expectations

Thank you mrz!

user789653241 · 06/03/2016 14:23

My ds has very patchy level of knowledge when it comes to maths. He is capable of a lot of Level6, part of level7, and about 1/4 of level 8.
What is the expected age to those levels? I know it's old curriculum, and it doesn't tell you anything about current expectation.

Richa1 · 09/03/2016 13:46

The tests seem to be different in our school. Do they use different tests in Wales? Would I be able to find the clic tests used in Welsh schools anywhere?

Irvine GCSE age 14-16

mrz · 09/03/2016 17:11

Of course it's all changed

user789653241 · 09/03/2016 17:25

Thank you mrz. I will let my ds get on with KS2 level nrich rather than let him explore further.

mrz · 09/03/2016 20:29

Richa1 there are new versions of the tests to match the new curriculum and the original version do you know which they are using?

Richa1 · 10/03/2016 11:12

Mrz, thanks for replying. They are using the new tests. They are now using a set of 20 tests as opposed to 5 or 6 that were in the old version of the tests.

Is this familiars?

Big maths level 8
Richa1 · 12/03/2016 19:42

Thanks Mrz. Yes they are in that format but I think Welsh schools must use different questions. They don't have Mully questions at this level. And the other questions are different.

mrz · 13/03/2016 05:59

I'll see if I can get a message to Ben Harding who wrote the Big Maths prog I'm afraid teaching in England I'm not familiar with Welsh version.

mrz · 13/03/2016 13:01

Ben replied and says that the Welsh versions are different.
Could the school help ?

Richa1 · 14/03/2016 10:16

Thank you very much for everything. I will get further advice from the school. Thanks for all the time you have spent answering my queries, it is really appreciated. Should the school be sending home examples of the clic tests?
