Have we got a Secondary offers day thread yet?

We are counting down to Tuesday here. DS has a definite preference, we all have the same preference for a school to avoid, but DH and I not fussed too much other than that.

DS is a bit twitchy about it all, as are a few of his mates.

How's it going with your Yr6s?

It's moved up to 'secondary', just as your DC soon will!

It's not that bad!

But just like they mysteriously grow up a notch when they start Reception (which can come as a surprise) you will need to brace yourself for them doing it all over again in year 7.

Hmmm- my response would be understandable, but I teach in upper KS2! I've stroked many parents' hands as their babies go to big school. But it was never meant to happen to my baby!
