We are looking to move into either orpington for darrick wood schools, hayes for hayes school or beckenham for langley schools.

It will be a big change for us and we will be selling our house to buy another one.

My biggest concern at the moment is getting a primary school place for my 2 kids. Has anyone else moved into these areas and what was your outcome for primary school entry? Mine will be an in-year application so I know it will be tough!

I spoke to Darrick wood infants who said that there are 3 kids waiting for a place and 1 without a school just at home.

Would love to hear your experience or any advise appreciated

Thank you!

I only know that over the last 3 years DD had several classmates joining in-year and all of them had to commute a while until places became available.

Obviously KS1 is more difficult than KS2.
