Bancroft's Prep School dilemma

Feeling a proud mama today as DD got offered a 7+ place at Bancroft's Prep School (without tutoring). However, fees are double than what we are paying now and logistically it will be challenging due to morning drop offs and we need to find a childminder for after school pick ups.

If we accept the place now then I won't need to put myself and my DC through the stress of the 11+ entry process. Preferable senior schools options would be Bancroft's or CLSG.

Has anyone got a child at Bancroft's Prep School that may be able to provide any feedback please? Thanks.

If your DD sailed through the 7+ with no tutoring then surely the 11+ would be no problem? Does that help?

I don't know anyone who didn't get a place at 7, but plenty who didn't at 11, if that helps.

So, you pay for a place from 7+ and they get to stay for secondary. Leave it til the 11+ and lots don't get in. A good business model I'd say!

Yep, it's a huge money spinner for the three largest private schools around here!

Hi Blossom8 - What did you decide? Fee looks too high.
