A bit I think. It's some kind of reward system. Everyone has their own little character......the ones they have at ds school are displayed on the interactive whiteboard so the child can click on it when they are told they can have a dojo. I presume it's this you're referring to?

Skullyton · 12/01/2016 23:50

my kids school has been using them for the last 3 years.

what do you want to know?

DozeyTwonk · 12/01/2016 23:52

Yes that's the one. We can log in to see if the are getting green (good) behaviour points and red (needs work). However I am not sure I want to know the minutiae of her day....and they get red points for not doing homework..

So don't log in is the answer, surely.
Red points for no homework seems very reasonable to me, except if there were issues impacting on it.

DozeyTwonk · 13/01/2016 00:25

We are being encouraged and kids are actively using it. We like doing homework but it's not a priority if we have something else on - therefore I dont think it's okay to give a negative mark.

In year 6 they tend to try and prepare them for senior school where normally there will be sanctions for not doing hwk, so that's probably why they are giving red points for not doing hwk.

Skullyton · 13/01/2016 01:25

ours dont get coloured marks, they're either awarded or taken away!

DozeyTwonk · 13/01/2016 08:54

We logged on this morning so she could see her points. Then we had the conversation about the kids with 'issues' (her words) were getting more points for not talking and where then bragging about it. Not sure about it all myself......will suck it and see and as its only a trial hopefully we can give feedback at the end.
