Primary Schools in and around Southampton

I posted earlier about secondary schools, but I realise that what I need to focus on now is outstanding/ good Primary schools in and around Southampton. We're moving hopefully by September and should have the school sorted so that we can rent a place near the school for both my Dds. Please suggest some good areas with good schools for us to consider. Plan to make a trip down in February half term to have a look. Thank you

All the primaries in Romsey are fine. At least one currently has spaces in most years. 4 schools to choose from.

Halterworth Primary - 2 form entry. Usually pretty full.

Cupernham Infant and Juniors - now both(?) 3 form entry due to
Abbotswood housing development. Because of recent expansion, likely to have spaces.

Romsey Primary - single form entry with attached nursery. Had been struggling but new HT 3 years ago and has improved massively.

Romsey Abbey Primary - single form entry CofE. Strong music. Has had some problems in recent years but also turned around.

Romsey is small market town with an Abbey. Waitrose and Aldi. Small versions of Boots, Superdrug, New Look, H&M, Fat Face. Library. Loads of coffee shops and charity shops. Rapids sports centre. Winter and summer carnivals. 2 excellent secondaries. OK driving to uni, no idea re public transport links there. Pricier than Southampton, not as expensive and Winchester. Range of housing areas to suit varieties of tastes/budgets.

Feel free to PM me if you want more info re schools in Romsey.
