Sorry if this isin't the best pace but I can't work out which forum to use!

It's for my mad on video making soon to be 11 year old! He wants something with more features than iMovie. He has a school iPad and we have a Mac desktop. He also has an iPod touch.

Anyone use anything good? I don't mind spending a bit as he's asked for it for Christmas.

I used to use Final Cut Pro eleventy million years ago. It was very good and very user-friendly, no prob for an 11yo.

I'm no expert - most I've done has been done with Windows Movie Maker

Lightworks is good & WinXDVD Ripper Platinum is good for ripping Video

But I'm using a windows laptop not a MAC - sorry
