For a child in her first term in Reception, a June birthday, I understand what most of the above measures. What puzzles me is L M H next to each 'subject'. Is it Low Medium, High, and has it replaced Emerging, Expected etc?

The teacher will be able to explain the system the school is using.

Afaik emerging, expected, exceeding hasn't been replaced with anything but L, M, H translates as the same thing so I'd say that's just a way that the school find easier to use.
