DD (Ks1) has a compulsory PE event at a different school today. School has asked that the children are dropped off at the second school at 9.40am instead of their own!
This is really unusual, isn't it? I am fortunate that a friend's parent can take her today, but only by coincidence as this dad has a day off.
I haven't asked school what they'd do if we couldn't facilitate this (as I was able to manage). They are probably trying to save money by not needing a coach, which I understand. It is an illustration of how difficult things are for working parents at this particular school. No note to say that if we can't do this then school will walk them down or anything to that effect!
