Idea music piece for trombone

sorry if this might not be the right thread but I can't find a better place to ask the question. Ds is taking part in a concert for older people and he will play a tune on his own, I was wondering if anyone had ideas for a popular old fashion piece he could play? Something nice for the older generation? He is grade one and OK to learn an easy piece on his own. thanks for any ideas!

You need to move this to extra curricular, you wont get any specialist here I'm afraid to answer.

the obvious answer is ask the trombone teacher. They'll know what is appropriate for his stage . I bet there is something in his tutor book that'll be good. Maybe Tallis Cannon or the Ode to Joy theme. They seem to feature in all easy learner books....or an an easy Xmas tune like jingle bells.

However the usual thing for beginner concerts is to play what ever they have just been learning and ignore the fact the audience will have no idea what the " three note boogie" is or what ever , as they'll just loved it anyway!
